The Hillsborough County Hotel & Motel Association (HCHMA), first organized in 1937, is a membership-based organization representing leading hotels, motels, and resorts in the Tampa Bay area, which generate over 92 percent of the total hotel revenue in Hillsborough County. It comprises lodging members, allied members (businesses providing products and services to the hotel community), tourism organizations, and tourist attractions. The HCHMA's mission is to cultivate friendly relationships and promote mutual understanding among members, maintain high ethical standards of business and professional conduct in the industry, encourage the development of ideas and projects that benefit the community and the hotel and motel business, and work in concert with the objectives of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association.
